Banana-Nut Oatmeal

Rolled oats are cooked in fat-free milk, with mashed banana, brown sugar (or sugar-substitute) and nuts to make this breakfast treat.
Ingredients
- 2 cups low-fat or nonfat milk
- 1 cup old-fashioned or quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1 ripe banana, mashed
- 1 small handful walnuts, chopped
- 3 tbsp brown sugar

Method
Place milk and oats in small saucepan. Cook and stir on low heat until warm. Add mashed banana, pecans and brown sugar; cook and stir till oats are completely cooked.
Notes: You can substitute soy milk for milk and pecans for walnuts. You can also use a sugar-substitute for the brown sugar.
